Thanks for visiting Bird in the Hand! We do our very best to make your wedding photography experience a pleasant one. Below are the most common inquiries, answered for your convenience. Please contact me if you have additional questions.

Let’s start with the biggie!

How much will this cost me?

Wedding packages start at $2800. You can add additional services as you like, so you can go soup to nuts… or just order a salad (it’s a very nice salad).

See full pricing information here.

What is required to book my date?

I require a 50% retainer fee to book your date, along with a signed contract. The second 50% is due by the wedding date. Dates are limited, and are first come, first served.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes indeed! While I shoot most of my weddings in the tri-state area, I am always up for an adventure.

How long does it take to receive my files, prints and website?

Please allow 3-5 weeks for editing, printing and delivery time.

Do I get high-resolution files?

Yes! All the wedding packages include high res digital files on disc of your full edit.

What format do you photograph in?

I primarily shoot with a digital SLR, but if you’re a fan of film, I’m more than happy to break out my medium format equipment.

Note that all files can be converted to black & white.

What's the deal with the image copyrights?

As is standard industry practice, all images indefinitely remain under copyright of Bird in the Hand unless otherwise noted under contractual agreement.

Why are you a wedding photographer again?

I started off as a fine art photographer. And then I moved into lifestyle work. And then I found that I could create honest and creative imagery at weddings, and capture people in a natural way—something that seems rare among most wedding photography.

I aim to provide you with a positive, unique experience that’s tailored just for you. We’ll have fun.
